Now, it’s gonna be honest, Ace does not know a single word of Japanese, so it normally sticks to English vocaloids. However this randomly got thrown at it by Spotify recommendations and it found this track to be very good at calming it down and making it’s head quiet for some reason. From what it can vaguely remembers from Google though, it’s about being in a hole, which is probably a metaphor but this doesn’t know what that metaphor is.

Kikuo has a lot of really nice noises, even if the lyrics are a bit darker on average.

Yeah between MARETU and Kikuo vocaloid has some pretty twisted stuff (gosh Gomenne Gomenne remains the most stomach-turning thing I have ever listen too).

yeah the lyrics are disgusting, but honestly the idea of bopping your head to the song without knowing what the lyrics are sounds even more horrifying…

While we are in a slightly depressing mood due to that song I guess I could share this.
This is my favorite Vocaloid song, the lyrics are incredibly dark, but also the most hopeful thing I have ever listened to.

since sasakure.UK (which, you may be surprised to learn, is his actual website) just released his participation in the Miku + Pokemon producer relay thing going on (where a bunch of different producers make pokemon-inspired songs that incorporate sounds and motifs from the games), i’m here to recommend…damn near everything he’s ever made!
there’s a really nice personality in the chord progression and the texture of the music that i have not really encountered anywhere else. and the vibes are always great; whether upbeat or melancholic.

Akem is my favorite UTAU user by far. This cover especially to me is insanity. I did my fair share of Yamine Renri shenanigans myself (her voicebank puts to shame a lot of other not free ones), but never to this level of crazy.
First of all this song is incredible, but I love this cover especially, it`s janky UTAU-ness at its finest. It sounds like if an insect could sing. I have my own cover of this song that I really like, but I never finished the last portion of it…
This song is my favorite neru song, it’s just so good.
I love this cover from the art to the voices, it’s so melancholically adorable.
