I wanted to relisten to some songs my mom used to play in the car while on road trips, sadly I could only remember one of the bands’ name, but man… these are good

i really love pos-soviet and both soviet and anti-soviet musics, slavic languages in general have a really good charm:

russian and soviet history and society is something that i’ve always loved searching about, its something that here in western countries we know jack shit about, which we should know much more, not for praising or hating of course, but understanding that people in those countries that existed and exist are the same as us, so must be regarded as such, regardless of the geopolitical opinions that i have on the russian or soviet state

i used to listen to a lot of patriotic songs from all over the world, most of them are pure nationalism that i despise, but patriotic songs imo i don’t see problem in them:
patriotism is different from nationalism, this video explains very well Unfortunely the channel owner apparently died in a car crash, really, really, really sad as he was just fucking brilliant and his videos are the best videos on countryball/geopolitics that there are on the platform
But there are some musics that i really like even from soviet era:
this music is really good, and imo doesn’t have the hyper nationalism that musics that a lot of musics till this day show
and also, really good song Зима!
PS: 1 - It isn’t originary of the red army choir, just fact checked rn, but it is mainly popular due to them
2 - i know the lyrics, but haven’t read it like a long time ago, but as far as i remember they are fine
