A thread for posting the weird thing that happen/happened .

Compel to create the thread by something that occured a few moments ago : was going to the doctor , the door to the waiting room open , someone with tea pass me and nearly bump and say "pardon madmoiselle " which mean in french "pardon my lady/ young m’am (or something like this i’m no professional translator) "
i have a beard(at least a attempt at one) and short air , no particular cloth to indicate anything . the curse of androgenic body strike again.

When I was streaming Megaquarium yesterday, someone remarked on how small the bathrooms were.

So I went into first person mode and walked into an empty one to show the interior.

An NPC walked in, and I reflexively said “I’m sorry ma’am” and left.

Something about the tea in your story reminded me that when I was at the dentist recently, I filled up a cup at the water cooler in the waiting room and then proceeded to just … drop it on myself and my backpack. Like there was hardly even an attempt to move the water to my mouth. Hand decided to just let go!

It was definitely a thing that happened.

Omg, something similar literally happened to me recently but at home…when I went to pause the game I was playing in a vc (Just Shapes & Beats), I tried to drink some water but ended up choking and spitting it all out instead…:’)

The water ended up landing all over my laptop, and on some parts of my clothes, desk, and the floor. So, I rushed to the nearest room that had paper towels, grabbed a bunch, and profusely shut down my computer after saying “BRB” in the chat. I made sure to get out all the water I could, because I know that doesn’t mix very well with electronics…

Yet, my computer somehow survived (and is working just as well as before, as of typing this). It was at that moment I understood why this system has lasted me almost 5 years at this point x|d Still going strong even with a 1050ti GPU, i5 CPU, and just 12 (maximum) GB of RAM…

It happened a few years ago. One time when I was eating chocolate eggs in the dark in front of my PS3, I was noticing for one of them that chewing it was odd. Then I realized that I forgot to remove the aluminum film that was on that one chocolate egg. I think I spat it out when I realized this, for obvious reasons.

When I was little with my parents in a supermarket one time there was a roquefort pack (the cheese you see below) in the shopping cart and somehow I managed to open the pack and start eating the cheese that was inside.

P.S. : Also, according to my parents I was already eating roquefort at the age of 3, and roquefort is a very strong cheese.

Went to see Ghost in the Shell 2 with some friends yesterday and ran into a completely different friend picking up my ticket. We all hung out after the movie. Something similar happened when I saw End of Evangelion earlier this year. These screenings get less than a dozen people each around here but I always seem to run into people I know. There’s some mysterious correlation between my friends and people who go to screenings of sci fi anime classics. Can’t wait for Angel’s Egg next year!

GKIDS acquired the rights, so they’re doing a new 4K scan for a new theatrical and home release next year! You might be able to find a screening near you if you’re in the US.

My roomie and I bought a lot of face glitter in Manchester but it spilled in her purse and we just glitterbombed the airport security inspecting the purse :fox_face:
