‘Crypt of the necrodancer’ OST’s got mentioned previously by @okaeri.yo , so instead i will put the one from ‘Rift of the necrodancer’ OST, all the songs are very cool but my 2 favourites are:

Glass Cages, mixing piano, sintethyser, violin and electrical guitar:

Hallow Queen, sintethyser and bass or a low note electric guitar, cant tell becouse the instruments used arent listed oficially:

this 2 OST’s managed to make me buy a electrical guitar.

the whole OST playlist:

so awesome! I hope you enjoy your new instrument and if you ever want to share some of your riffing there’s a thread for it! https://a-lilian-garden.discourse.group/t/music-you-made/3015/2

i haven’t tried the newest game or given the ost a full listen yet but i love what I’m hearing already, if its anything like the first game i expect ill be hooked for hours at a time :face_savoring_food:

Some magical barrier must be preventing me from seeing the thread (or a skill issue), maybe i have to do like in ocarina of time and touch with the guitar a secret song to enter!

The base game is great, workshop has creative people and colaboration dlcs are wild like the one with Hatsune Miku. :slightly_smiling_face:

Armored Core has some awesome tracks, I could list so many but for the sake of brevity I’ll just share one of my favourites -w-

my two main hyperfixation games have not been mentioned in the thread thus far, so i must present:

Lazy Afternoons (Kingdom Hearts II)

goldenslaughterer (Umineko no Naku Koro ni)

entirely opposite vibes, but both some of my favorite tracks ever

This music makes me feel empty inside. In a good way. Like a part of you that’s fulfilled, but still hurts no matter what.

I’ve never actually played this game but I finished listening to the early Minecraft soundtracks again and I found out that Daniel Rosenfield (C418) is the composer for a game that came out just recently, I’ve been appreciating the new soundtrack.

Slightly unrelated - Anyone here watch Latchezar Dimitrov on YouTube? He's a Russian (I believe) violinist who plays a lot of arranges of video game music - what I like about his channel is how much variety there is, since he covers all sorts of things (as well as folk songs and other less nerdy things).

I was so surprised to see he covered probably my favorite song from my favorite game.

He's playing over the original, but here it is for clarity.

Probably my favorite "home" theme from any Blobber or JRPG... I spent so many long hours grinding through that game and that song just became the sound of comfort for me after a while. It's so cool to see grandpa play it.

the first time i got him on my recommendations it was “bad piggies”

He does a lot of videos. Also tends to reupload a lot because he doesn't like getting too many comments? I don't really get it.

i kinda just wanna share the entire Bat to the Heavens OST
i think i've made it clear how much that game means to me and the OST goes along with that.
in particular...

Batter Up, the main menu music...

and Batter Out, the post credits ranking music...

the meanings and feelings that the entire OST for that game, and especially those two tracks, give to me, are not something i can properly express. but i do also think it's just lovely music.
appreciate the joys and wonders in all that has been created, and will be created.

if you're interested in it, you should!
it's a great game!
literally probably my 2nd favorite game of all time![1]

i am the designated Bat to the Heavens advocate of the garden.
i've beaten the game and am slowly working on completing every achievement & getting a 108% save file (currently at like 100.6%, iirc... working on it!)

definitely not a game for everyone! but i do really really love/enjoy it. so much.

  1. (first is crosscode, and it mostly holds that spot for very personal reasons mostly unrelated to the game itself. though that game is also very good!) ↩︎
