Beep boop, hi everyone! I just finished moving some things around on the forum so here's an update on what happened:
A New Forum Category
Because we went with the organic bottom-up approach to making a Minecraft server, the Minecraft conversations had naturally gotten a little bit chaotic!
In our gardening metaphor, the Minecraft plant was like a really energetic, successful vine that had erupted all over and was sprawling across several categories & threads in a way that was getting to be a bit confusing, so it was time to move the Minecraft plant to a new planter - somewhere that it would be happy and have lots of trellises to climb and shade!
So that's the new Group Games category that I've created! It should show up in your sidebar now but you might have to refresh.
The choice to call the category Group Games and not just Minecraft is intentional. It's meant to be a place where you can coordinate all sorts of gaming activities! I recommend that you check out the About the Group Games category to learn more and also to get some of the important TOS/safety caveats about what it means to play games together off the forum.
Transplant Shock
Also hey, I know that when you move plants they can end up feeling a bit out of sorts while their roots take time to reintegrate into the new soil the've been put in. I tried to be gentle while moving the Minecraft plant but if the change is a little bit jarring and you need a minute to adjust, I get it.
When it comes to changes to the structure of the forum, I'll always do my best to be gentle.
Aside: Forums Are so Cool!
But aside from the transplant shock, oh my goodness. Isn't it so neat that forums can grow in both depth and breadth?! Like we get depth from having really long topics/threads, and we get breadth from having new topics and now new categories!
