Heres my recomendations based on lilians fishing stream and the comunity here particualy bathed in sound theres so many beautifull weird sounds in cosmos songs and his voice is amazing
I love those! Especially the first one. It hits me with a good vibe.
Edit: I’ve fallen in love with their music now. I’m binging their music.
One I like is Fish in a Birdcage. Heres a few of my favorite of their songs:
Another good one is Bug Hunter:
I also like steampunk music, mainly The Cog is Dead but also Abney Park, Steam Powered Giraffe, Sunday Driver, The Mechanisms, and Vernian Process. Heres a few I like:
Not quite steampunk but similar vibes, is Mr.B the Gentleman Rhymer. My favorite of his is this one:
I haven’t heard many vocaloid songs, but I really like this one:
Some other assorted people I like: Bill Wurtz, Weird Al, They Might be Giants, Tally Hall, Lemon Demon, Will Wood, That Handsome Devil, and Mother Mother. I might give a few reccomendations for songs from some of them sometime in the future because this post is already getting long and I need to go to bed.
I think I’m a bit unusual in that I basically only listen to ‘Two Steps from Hell’ and I have done for years. My Spotify Wrapped (yearly listening recap) was literally just them in every spot. It’s made up of two composers, Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix. I tend to prefer Thomas’ music though. Nick’s music usually has a darker theme and is maybe less tuneful.
Their music is under the ‘epic’ genre and is performed by orchestra. They’ve done music for film trailers and it’s also often heard on TV. The Game Awards use their music constantly throughout and I’ve heard it a bunch in random other places.
I’ve loved their music so much ever since I first came across ‘Heart of Courage’ in a YouTube video for a Minecraft map trailer about 10 to 13 years ago. It has got me through a lot since then.
If anyone’s interested, their ‘popular’ list on Spotify is a good place to start, and a lot of music I love beginning with ‘Heart of Courage’! You’re quite likely to have heard this somewhere sometime even if you didnt realise it:
Thomas also releases more music separately and has a series of albums called ‘Humanity’ which is up to five releases as of now. They each have a different general theme and then are quite untraditional. I really like a lot of these. His page is here:
I went to see them on their first tour in 2022 which was really cool and very unlike me to go to something like that.
I forgot that was the same song I originally posted ![]()
I don’t know music like most- I’m pretty bad listening to a single artist or staying in any genre, so I’m just making a long post with songs/music/artists i like and listen to.
(i only really actively listen to my music, especially if it has lyrics or intense texture/rhythm. So i don’t listen to music very often aha.)
Filmmaker
Filmmaker has been my top favorite for years. Ever since i discovered their music. It’s like… 8-bit, dark synth, electronic music. Sometimes more synth-wave, sometimes more intense, loud, bass music. When you think of my type of music, think of Filmmaker. I’ll be linking a group of my top albums. There is normally no lyrics… and if there are voices it’s typically not understandable.

In Love With A Ghost
MUUUCH more chill. Lofi vibes.
Panther Modern
Okay back to weird and proably not your taste. More synth and experimental!!! Lots more lyrics and this sounds like a club. This is super underground (i honestly didnt know that). I personally would love more music to sound like this. This is also MUCH better with good quality headphones so you can ‘feel’ the sound more.
(fun fact! this band is based in LA very closed to where i grew up. I’ve personally gone up those very stairs this visualizer is filmed in!)
This one is from an anime intro i watched when i was in middleschool and it is SUCH A BOP
there is a practical reason why i should not begin posting in this thread
