Thanks for the translation.

I don’t get many of the references either, but I can provide at least one bit of context:

INT is an x86 assembly instuction for triggering a software interrupt.

It was commonly used to make syscalls under DOS.
A hello world program at the time might have looked like this:

.data
message db "Hello, World!$"

.code
LEA DX, message ; load string address into DX
MOV AH, 9 ; load opcode 9 (= output of a $-terminated string at DS:DX)
INT 21h ; call into DOS API, uses opcode in AH
INT 20h ; terminate program

“Tracing INTs” means logging whenever a programm transfers control to the kernel, essentially what strace does on modern linux systems.

You’re doing what you love,
Isn’t that enough, isn’t that enough?
A genius, perfect job,
Isn’t that enough, isn’t that enough?

Ok I know im replying to a super old post but I just had to.

Intensity! That is absolutely how I'd describe carpenter brut! While I've seen videos of their live shows, and the cover of "maniac" is great, to me Carpenter brut's songs feel best with headphones in a dark room (okay that's definitely bias). They're filled with such an emotion that you don't feel from EDM too much, a sort of persistence or an evil feeling stalking you. But you can also see them as a bit cheesy, while still dark version of synthy action movie score.
I too have listened to trilogy on repeat (often in my days playing TF2 or such).
My favorite is "looking for Tracy tzu", but le perv is excellent as well.

After my carpenter brut phase, I got into Com Truise. With the silly spoonerism in the name, and the synthwave influences, you wouldn't expect the introspective, and longing emotions that you find in "memory," "karova," and "ultrafiche of you."

The latter I recommend to literally everyone. Especially with the amazing music video. I watched the premiere of it live and I get chills thinking of the moment I first heard it.

I think gardeners would enjoy:

Also I see astrophysics and shibayan records in this thread and I'm so touched that others have found such incredible music too.

Indirectly reminding me how much i love mili’s music… how dare you!
Here’s a favorite of mine as payback!

Salty breeze, turquoise waters
Honey sand, never-setting sun
My skin, my eyes, my ears
And the world you left me
Are the signs you loved me

Ghost in the Shell is an amazing movie, and the music is a huge part of why.
The first thing I did after watching it was to buy the soundtrack.

i mentioned my love for emo/scene culture in my introduction post so im gonna post some of that here!

ive been listening to this over and over recently! something about the singers voice, synths and production give it this really interesting ethereal, grandiose vibe that i really love.

(warning, theres some harsh vocal here! its pretty light but i know some people really dislike it)
