I’m not seeing anything harmful here myself. The content warnings on the thread are clearly stated and while bilge may be in culinary bad taste, I don’t think that it really contradicts the values of the community.

While I can understand the ‘first impression’ anxieties, I don’t think we need to take ourselves so seriously! We’re just a silly little forum with silly users, and one of those users happens to be a belle pepper gal who may have imbibed some bilge at one point. ^{Also, I’d hope anyone considering the forum would either be coming from something I made or a direct personal invitation, both of which are probably bilge-free 99.9% of the time!}

Lastly if we try to sweep bilge under the rug of Blanket Fort, people will still find it anyways ಠ_ಠ ^{(This is a jokingly reproachful look of disapproval, I don’t actually disapprove of anyone in this conversation)}

unrelated to that, a long time ago I put a piece of bark in a jar of pond water and left it sealed for several months, some interesting bacteria ended up growing it (purple sulfur bacteria I think?) and it smelled like pickles or something at the end of the process.
