Awareness /education /information sharing on neurodivergent conditions

This thread is about information sharing /awareness, partially because the topic affects others /me and i think it can be helpful, but also largely because this is really interesting to me, especially the more dry /scientific side of things.

It can be easier for me to absorb information that is more densely packed /presented more objectively because it's more interesting to me that way but it's probably different /not the same for others and it could seem rude /disheartening for the information to be presented that way, so if someone wants to share the same information through a different perspective or form of media please don't worry about things like reposting /repeating information and go ahead.

Since 1798, the medical literature on attention disorders has distinguished between at least two kinds, one a disorder of distractibility, lack of sustained attention, and poor inhibition and the other a disorder of low power, arousal, or focus. This second disorder has been largely ignored for nearly two centuries until the mid-1980s when studies of children having ADD without Hyperactivity suggested that an important subset had a relatively distinct pattern of symptoms not central to ADHD. These symptoms included daydreaming, mental fogginess and confusion, staring, slow processing of information, hypoactivity, slow movement, and lethargy, among others.

Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome (CDS) has a lot of overlap and a high comorbidity rate with ADHD.

The videos in this series following the first one are useful for differentiating between CDS /ADHD and they highlight the differences, the first one focuses on CDS.
