This feels like an oddly personal image ...? Can't say I've ever shared my fridge online before, that's a new experience.
I discovered that the milk is 2 liters[1]— so i think I could fit another one of those and a glass bottle if I tried hard enough. But there's little vertical room.
I will see if I can invest in a 2L water glass ^^
That's an idea. A good one, too! I will put it next to the sink where I put the dirty pots, so when I rinse them and the sink is empty— I can refill it at the same time.
If I was kind and considerate, I'd wait until the Americans are up— and post the poll around midday so that they get the reminder as soon as they awaken, and the europeans would get it around lunchtime. It would work beautifully![1]
But I'm impatient and I want to start logging my water now .

Go and get a drink— make sure it doesn't leave your side. If you go out, take it. If you plan on locking in to get some work[2] done consider getting 2 drinks.
A thought process that helps me, which might aid others on their quest to stay hydrated:
"I might as well"
If I'm standing up to go downstairs, and I have empty cups in my bedroom— I might as well take them since I'm going that direction anyway.
If you pass through the kitchen to do x task, get a drink as well, because you're already in the area anyway.
Even if you haven't done anything "productive" today, you've stayed hydrated, and that's impressive. You've always accomplished something, even if you don't recognise it yourself.
Thank you for trying your best. I'm proud of you, and I hope that in time, you'll be proud of yourself too : )
Australians forgotten about— as per usual. They're around 10 hours ahead, so I suppose they can log their complete intake once a day... Or use the prior day's tracker ↩︎
I wonder if there's any difference between hydrating throughout the entire day and just chugging a bottle all at once? (that's what I did today, return home, drink everything in my 500 ml bottle, proceed to not touch water at all, see this reminder, drink the entire 500 ml bottle again)
Great question! I don't have an answer, however I can add what I do personally, which is similar to you.
If I don't drink the whole bottle at once (500ml or 800ml) I will 100% forget about it— for that reason I usually take a 5 minute break, drink it all, and then get back to whatever I was doing. I do this 3/4 times a day[1] which may not be the best approach, but it works for me!
I don't think it matters, as long as you're drinking! It's the same amount at the end of the day either way.
So if it works for you, keep going as you are .
inconsistently, so I could do it twice in one hour and then not drink for 7 hours ↩︎
Since this is a garden, I'd like to just be able to "water the plants" and have everyone automatically be hydrated. Unfortunately life doesn't work like that, but this is the next best thing at the moment. [1]

Mine will be quite low today. I'm setting a bad example. Don't be like me; be better!
Go and get a a drink of water if you don't have one, or refill your cup if it's empty. It's best to do it now whilst you're thinking about it, not later! Take a drink with you if you go anywhere as well, please : ).
Thank you for trying to drink more! Even if others aren't noticing the effort you're putting in to stay hydrated— I am, so keep it up!!
I thought that staying hydrated might help the frequent static headaches but it hasn't as of yet and I'm getting impatient. Perhaps I'm lacking in something else too— though that could be anything from sleep to stress... Research is needed ↩︎
I was sat here, rotting away— when I had the sudden thought of "Did I upload the hydration poll yesterday!?!"
I did. Panic over, but I may as well post today's whilst I'm here.

I'm going on a walk this afternoon, so I'll take a bottle with me[1]. You're going to take some water with you if you go out too, right?
If you don't have a drink within arms reach, go and get one. If your cup is empty, refill it— please!
It's nearly been a week of the garden trying to stay hydrated; a week of consciously building up a good habit. That's impressive— so to all of those who use this poll, I admire your dedication. Let's keep going ^^
Hey, just a question, why does tea not count as water?
I normally drink a lot of tea, without caffeine or added sugar, and is that not just hot water with a bit of added flavour?
I've got a banging headache so I can't respond to this with even a quarter of the eloquence that I'd like.
But basically, you're right, I didn't consider decaf tea therefore I'll change it accordingly. The vision for this thread was to make people more aware of their caffeine intake and what fluids they're putting into their body— and I was under the impression that 90% of users just had regular coffee/tea.
Does bolognaise sauce from the jar count as water? =.
Edit: On a more serious note, this solution of having eyes on each other to kickstart mutual motivation is called "body doubling" and is a technique frequently mentioned and used in ADHD spaces There are ADHD content creators who livestream doing their daily household chores and invite others to join in, to name an example
