03/07/2026: Missed a couple days of newspaper games due to Depression. Today's crossword was really tough, we were stumped for a good while in a lot of these.
The new "midi" is fun though I still fail to really see much of the "point" of it... It does feel a bit redundant given that we have the mini already. Oh well, more crossword is a good problem to have in my book.
Also! today was the 1000th Connections! wow! And I completed it! double wow!

02/09/2026: The Midi had this weird gimmick where some answers would solve to two words with one pair of letters swapped in each... It was a bit of a brainer and when you solved it it played a little animation of the letters swapping. Scary. I get real scared if my crosswords start moving.

03/11/2026: Bullshit that TEDDY is a word. Absolute nonsense.
Princess completely tore through today's crossword... It was impressive, I barely got to read the clues before she had answered. The little animations in the Midi crossword always freak me out... why is my crossword jiggling?????

03/12/2026: We were so confused at today's crossword... But I worked out the gimmick successfully! It was another one of those "word is completed by the word crossing it" types - in this case, the revealer was FALLENANGEL , which revealed Across clues crossing with down clues on the word ANGEL were combined into one. So, LOSANGELES becomes LOSALES , and at A it crosses down with STRANGELOVE , completing the clue. It was clever! I liked it.
