Dumb question. Is there any way to use outlook on my phone without it being spyware? (Have to use it for uni email)
. Thanks for the app store mirror though, that's super useful

iirc outlook and other microsoft email services support IMAP, you can use any standard email client with them. android has K-9 Mail (sort of a port of Thunderbird, GH | FD | GP)
speaking of,
com.fsck.k9)POP3/IMAP email client. works with any standard email provider. Mozilla Thunderbird's portable sibling.

com.termux)fully featured *nix terminal emulator. effectively an apt distribution inside your phone, with all consequences explicit and implied. install neovim, ssh to your desktop, turn your wretched device into a dev station, make phonecalls from a zsh script - your own perversion is the only limit.

there are several termux plugins installable as separate apps from FD (such as floating window terminal, fully exposed android api, styler, etc).
org.ironfoxoss.ironfox)cryptoschizoid browser, akin in alignment to Librewolf. hardened Firefox without Mozilla mental decay. still supports Mozilla services like the bookmarks sync if you need them.

not on GP or FD, can be installed and auto-updated via Obtainium.
org.fossify.*)did you know you can actually uninstall almost every pre-provided google app, including phone/sms/filemanager/gallery/camera/launcher, without needing root or even dev settings? now you do. this is what you replace them with. identical or better UX, 0% of the tracking.
the only issue i've had with those is the camera inexplicably dropping image quality. you can install a different camera app anyways.

all subprojects are on F-Droid under names such as Fossify Messages, Fossify Launcher, etc.
Highly recommend fossify Calendar because google calendar increasingly just flat out doesn't work or removes functionality
+1 for K-9, works great, honestly might be the best email app we’ve ever used. At least on mobile.
f.cking.software)bluetooth low energy device scanner. can be used to log discoverable bluetooth devices in the vicinity and analyze the logs. can also be used to detect if some of these devices are following you, or passively recording your encounters with a device. if you worry about stalkers, might be useful.
